CNA Hardy is headquartered in London and Chicago. They refurbished their Manchester office and required artwork for two meeting rooms, an open office and reception. Prior to this project I did not own a portfolio of Manchester and so I arranged two photography trips to add Manchester to my increasing UK portfolio. After an initial discussion with my client and a site visit, I put forward a proposal with images of Manchester predominantly and one image of Chicago for reception. Images of the Manchester United stadium or Manchester City stadium were off the table as they could have been divisive! One image of the National Football Museum was chosen. Whilst editing the image preparing it for printing, I noticed the grass in the image, which was captured in winter, was noticeably worn. It was now summer time, and so I made an eight-hour round trip to Manchester to photograph the same spot, hoping the grass would be greener and fuller. Fortunately it was and the image was much improved. The client chose the diasec medium for the artwork. I delivered the artwork myself and arranged and supervised art installation.
“We commissioned Alex to support an office refresh and refurbishment exercise we undertook which involved providing a series of photographs of local landmarks & buildings for each of our offices. We were delighted with the results. Some truly inspiring shots of places that our staff and customers in each location could relate to.”
