Doughty Street Chambers is a Barristers’ Chambers based north of Gray’s Inn. They invited me to make a proposal for artwork in their chambers, including several meeting rooms and the reception area. After viewing the various media samples, they decided on black and white images on the acrylic medium, since there was plenty of colour featured in the rooms (books, shelves, walls, chairs). Discussing the theme for artwork, we agreed photography of the immediate vicinity with a focus on details of buildings would be intriguing and provide a conversation starter. After two full days of photography in the local area I put forward my results. A final selection of fifteen pieces were chosen.
