finsbury square, London, UK
Fox Williams had recently relocated to Finsbury Square and the space included nine meeting rooms. After viewing the rooms and holding initial discussions with the client, it was decided that artwork would be beneficial in six rooms. The other three meeting rooms had limited available wall space. The content was decided to be London with a focus on the City (law and finance). Several proposals were put forward including new images of the Bank of England and the London skyline (incorporating the City). The meeting rooms had expansive walls and panoramic images were well suited to the wall dimensions. Two adjacent meeting rooms had a moveable connecting wall with the option to create a larger meeting room. This had to be considered when taking into account the artwork for both these rooms; they must work well individually and equally well when viewed as one room. This was achieved using a similar style for the content and dimensions of artwork. The final selection was black and white images for four rooms to complement the existing decor and colour images for two smaller meeting rooms. The preferred medium was diasec with a semi-matt surface to reduce reflections. Artwork was delivered by an art courier and professional art installation arranged.
“On moving into stunning new premises we needed to find a set of photographs to match. We were very fortunate indeed to find Alex. He listened carefully and built a fabulous portfolio to meet the brief perfectly. His attention to detail and passion for his art is plain to see. I’d highly recommend him, tell him what you want, listen to his insights, then sit back and watch as he creates an exceptional and unique collection.”
