LONDON: Battersea Power Station at dawn
LONDON: Battersea Power Station at dawn
£178.00
Battersea Power Station is a former coal-fired power station on the banks of the River Thames to the west of London. Designed by Leonard Pearce and operational from the early 1920s to early 1980s. It is one of the largest brick buildings in the world and has undergone recent renovation to become offices and a shopping centre.
My favourite building in London photographed here in my first commercial photograph. I recall getting to this spot for dawn in the summer meant leaving my flat at 2am and travelling on several night buses, and I was on the same side of London! Photographed in 2004 and available as a 30 x 45 cm print only.
