My signature photography style is long exposures. I had always been keen on long exposures seascapes taken in black and white, however, I wanted to extend this style to cities. Since 2009 I have photographed various London landmarks as part of a series entitled LDN. It took several years to complete a set I was happy with mainly because the resulting images were extremely dependent on the type of clouds, speed of movement and sunlight on the buildings. Not always easy to plan and many trips to produce a handful of photographs in this collection. Nelson’s Column in Trafalgar Square is captured in this image.
