Washington DC is a city full of memorials and landmarks. The Thomas Jefferson Memorial is situated next to the Tidal Basin, just off the Potomac River. The memorial is generally full of tourists and visitors and so I visited this location in the middle of the night to capture a peaceful image of the memorial. The wide angle was used to emphasise the space and isolation that many memorials in Washington DC are afforded.
